Pam BrandonPam Brandon
President/Founder

Pam brings over 20 years’ experience in family and professional caregiver education. Having engaged and trained thousands of care-partners and organizations, she is passionate about helping others embrace positive change. She is privileged to lead and direct this fast-growing company to new heights of success. Originally from the Chicago area, she has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for over 33 years, and proudly calls it home.

V'Ann GiuffreV’Ann Luedke Giuffre
Senior Vice President of Growth and Operations

V’Ann has been an education specialist in school, business and conference settings for over 20 years. She finds great satisfaction in making learning come alive for people, whether aged 3 or 93. She brings her energized teaching style to her role as Master Trainer for Dementia Live™ and Compassionate Touch® and is a Certified Ageless Grace™ Educator. As AGE-u-cate’s Vice President of Operations, V’Ann keeps the balls in the air, juggling logistical details. Born and raised in rural Central Texas, V’Ann now lives in Fort Worth.

Mary Petersen
Director of Client Engagement

Mary joins AGE-u-cate as a licensed healthcare professional with over 40 years of experience in many aspects of the Health Care industry. Her career started right out of high school working in a multi-physician office where she was trained on all aspects of clinical and office management. After time off to raise a family, she realized nursing was her calling. Her nursing career began in the hospital and through the years included experience in all areas of Senior Living and Rehabilitation, both in clinical and sales and marketing.

Mary also has experience in medical device project development and management, medical device sales and marketing, hospice marketing, customer service and customer training program development and implementation. Most recently she was a regional sales director for a senior living safety and security device manufacturer. Mary’s family experience with dementia and direct exposure in her senior living sales and training career is the motivator to provide the most effective dementia education for all caregivers.

Mary lives in Wisconsin with her husband and 2 dogs and previously trained a wonderful therapy Shepherd mix who was the star of the nursing home. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and dog training.

Julie BoggessJulie Boggess

Director of CMP and Consulting Projects

Julie joins Age-u-cate with 31 years of experience in the Senior Housing and Healthcare Industry. Her exposure to persons with dementia came early in her career where she had the good fortune to work with and learn from the early pioneers of dementia care. She has worked in management level positions since 1990, most recently being 15 years as CEO at Bethesda Rehab and Senior Care in Chicago. During this time, she immersed herself in further education on dementia care through the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Chicago learning from leaders who were paving the way to person-centered dementia care.

She has created two Adult Day Programs for persons with Dementia and has extensive experience counseling and educating families caring for loved ones with dementia. She has served on the Board of Directors for LeadingAge Illinois and chaired its Nursing Facilities cabinet and is an instructor in Gerontology and Leadership in Aging Services at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.

Julie has a B.S in Child and Family Studies from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL, and Master’s degree in Public Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She lives in the Northwest Chicago suburb of Mount Prospect, Ill.

Michelle TerryMichelle Terry
Marketing Manager

Michelle Terry manages the marketing efforts at AGE-u-cate. She earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She has 10 plus years experience in sales and marketing in healthcare and other industries working for companies such as IBM. Most recently, Michelle rediscovered her love for seniors while working part time as a Resident Services Coordinator for a nonprofit that serves income restricted seniors. She is excited to pair her passion for caring for our aging population with her marketing expertise in this current role.

Michelle resides in Colleyville with her husband Micah, their two elementary aged children, Liam and Anna, and their miniature golden doodle puppy, Simon.

Kathy StevensKathy Stevens
Accounting and Finance

Kathy brings more than 25 years of experience to the Accounting Department at the corporate office. She has worked in accounting and bookkeeping for non-profits, as well as the automotive, construction and customer service industries.

Kathy grew up in Hurst, TX, in the D/FW Metroplex and she and her husband currently live next door to Kathy’s childhood home. When not working, she loves spending time with her family which includes 3 (and soon to be 4) grandchildren.

Beth ProppTammy Craig
Administrative Assistant - Operations and Grants

Tammy brings over fifteen years of administrative assistant experience to the AGE-u-cate team. Tammy brings varied experience in project design, meeting timelines, problem solving and effective communication skills. Working out of the corporate office in the D/FW Metroplex, Tammy works with coaches, trainers and clients to ensure they are supported throughout the training process and program implementation.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tammy has called the Fort Worth area home for over 30 years.

Sue SilcoxSue Silcox

Certified Ageless Grace Educator and Trainer

Sue started her career as a teacher in Wales and has spent many years working with adults, training and supporting them as they introduced new technology into the workplace. She has extensive experience in developing work-based training programs in new technologies.

In 2011 Sue took her first Nia class and that changed her life! As she took further courses in Nia she heard about Ageless Grace® and decided to take that on, becoming the first person in Australia to share the program with seniors and elders.

Since then Sue works in various aged care and respite facilities, including high care and with non-English speaking groups. While working with groups like these has given Sue the opportunity to use her skills to train and support other educators in Australia.

Sue’s relatively recent work has encouraged her to work more closely with the elders and seniors in the community and propels her to give them understanding, love, a listening ear and support as they approach end-of-life.

John BrandonJohn Brandon
Information Technology & Video Production

John Brandon serves as the chief technology officer for AGE-u-cate, performing multiple roles including website design and implementation, graphic arts, video production, and company finances. His experience comes from years of professional sound and video recording when he lived in Nashville where he grew up as well as running his own company for over 24 years. Over the years, John has become experienced with computer programming and the production of videos designed for training, marketing, and community education.

John now lives in Colleyville, Texas with his wife Pam.

Dee HutchinsonPatricia (Dee) Hutchinson
Manager of Fulfillment Services

Dee serves as the manager of our fulfillment facility. This includes the procurement of supplies, assembling the products, and managing the staff while preparing the Dementia Live® gear packs. Dee’s right hand helper is Ashley, her daughter. Ashley is amazing with the fine details. Both Dee and Ashley appreciate Ageucate for not only hiring adults on the Autistic spectrum, but also for offering interesting work for a fair wage.

Dee and Ashley live in Fort Worth, Texas. Ashley enjoys reading as well as writing her own science fiction stories. Ashley has been a volunteer at the Bedford Library for over ten years. Dee loves time with her family (she currently has 5 grandchildren), and her hobby is making stained glass windows. Dee’s mother-in-law is currently in memory care and she is involved with her care on a daily basis.

Heidi is a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging and is a Certified Professional Coach. She has provided exemplary leadership, training, coaching and consultative services in both the public and private sectors in Senior Living for over 23 years. Heidi's empathy and passion for seniors combined with her unwavering zest for making each day the best it can be combines her humoristic approach and experience! Having personal experience with the loss of her father-in-law with dementia, and now with her mother-in-law living with dementia, she is all too familiar with the struggles both personal and professionals alike must face on a day to day basis.

Heidi lives in Fort Erie, Ontario with her husband and fur baby "Broker". Her grown children and small grandchildren complete a most fulfilled life!

Ann Catlin OTR, LMT
Training & Education Consultant

Ann Catlin, OTR, LMT is a recognized expert in the field of skilled touch in eldercare and hospice. A respected author and award-winning educator, she guides professionals in rediscovering “touch-as-medicine” in person centered dementia care. Drawing upon 30 years’ experience, she develops AGE-u-cate training programs and is a master trainer for Compassionate Touch® and Dementia Live®.

Originally from the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas, Ann now lives in Springfield, Missouri.

Kathy DreyerKathy Dreyer, Ph.D.
Advisor

Kathy Dreyer has worked in the field of gerontology for over 20 years. She has served as a program coordinator to provide outreach to caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease through support groups and caregiver education. She has conducted research projects related to older adults and HIV, and the availability of care for older adults in the prison setting as part of her studies towards earning her doctorate in Applied Gerontology. She has also been a part of research projects examining Medicaid reimbursement rates and methods in nursing home and best practices for implementing age-friendly communities. Kathy has taught courses in gerontology, grant writing, and volunteer management and co-facilitated workshops for people aged 50 and older. She also has experience in strategic planning, evaluation, and grant writing. Kathy is passionate about older adults and providing support to caregivers.

Kathy volunteers as a Stephen Minister, and as part of a grant writing team for Special Olympics and the Monsignor King Outreach Center.
