Dementia Care Basics for In-home Caregivers
$25.00
Per Learner
Many in-home caregivers provide services for people living with dementia but may lack knowledge, skills, and confidence. This education session will help the caregiver better understand, skillfully interact with, and support those in their care, leading to greater satisfaction in their work and quality of care. In this one-hour device-friendly training, the learner will identify:
• Symptoms of Alzheimer's disease and strategies to prevent or diffuse dementia-related behaviors
• Communication techniques in relating to people with dementia
• Dementia-friendly activities to enhance wellbeing
• Methods of collaborating with the elder's family as part of the care team
This training is delivered in 6 short modules, allowing the learner to pause as needed. A Certificate of Completion, valid for two years from the course completion data, will be issued upon successfully completing the course.
