Compassionate Touch is an approach combining skilled touch and compassionate presence shown to impart wellbeing, prevent distressed behavior and reduce job stress in care partners. In this one-hour, device friendly training, the learner will recognize:

  • The different types of touch and purpose of skilled touch in providing quality care
  • The role of skilled touch hand, back and foot techniques as tools to increase the elder’s well-being by incorporating it into routine care
  • The role of compassionate presence in relating to the people he or she cares for

This training is delivered in 5 brief modules, allowing the learner to pause as needed.
