Emmy KaczmarskiEmmy Kaczmarski, RN

Dementia Educator and Behavioral Specialist, White Pine Senior Living, Hudson, WI
AGEucate Training Institute Certified Master Trainer

Emmy started her nursing career just out of high school where she worked as a certified nurse assistant in a skilled nursing facility. She was exposed early to dementia and the devastation it can cause. It is here that she found her calling in life and pursued a degree in nursing. In her nursing career, she has worked in a variety of settings including Home Care, Hospice, Hospital, and Medical Clinics.

Most recently she has been working with the geriatric population in Assisted Living settings with Comforts of Home, where she had served as an Administrator for 2 assisted living buildings and was promoted to Regional Director over-seeing several of the properties throughout Wisconsin. Her position with Comforts of Home has made her aware of the tremendous need for dementia educators. She has been expanding her role within the company to focus on Dementia Education, Behavioral Support Planning, Quality Assurance, and Quality Improvement. Emmy has learned that the biggest barrier to providing exceptional care is lack of training or lack of the RIGHT kind of training. Since her Master Training in Compassionate Touch and Dementia Live she has seen the impact that skilled touch has on residents of her own facilities and is excited to share these great programs with others.

Emmy lives in Wisconsin near Minneapolis/ St. Paul with her four children and husband. She is pursuing her Master’s degree in Nursing education and in her spare time can be found camping, crafting, cooking, gardening, or just spending time with her family.
