Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) is pleased to announce a collaboration with AGE-u-cate to help increase awareness of dementia and aging issues. NICHE will offer AGE-u-cate clients access to dementia-related webinars and family education resources for training events, in addition to teaching AGE-u-cate trainers how to implement the NICHE model.
NICHE and AGE-u-cate will develop case studies about organizations that successfully integrate the NICHE and AGE-u-cate continuing education programs to improve quality of care for older adults with dementia.
The goal of this collaboration is to develop and deliver aging and dementia training tools to our respective memberships to improve the quality of care nurses are providing to persons living with dementia.
“Aging care is more and more becoming about dementia care, and stakeholders must collaborate to reach the needs of providers serving older adults,” said Pam Brandon President and Founder of AGE-u-cate® Training Institute. “We are thrilled to partner with NICHE, as our organizations have closely aligned missions.”
Long-term care communities, hospitals, home care, hospice providers and other organizations both in the US and internationally integrate AGE-u-cate’s Dementia Live®, Compassionate Touch® and Flashback™programs for staff training and family education.
